Carried To The Table

In my quiet time with God today, I listened to the song "Carried To The Table" by Leeland. It is a great song inspired by the story of when King David showed kindness to the son of his friend Jonathan. King David summoned Mephibosheth(say that 10 times fast) to his table. Mephibosheth was crippled and couldn't walk and had to be carried to the King's court. Because of a promise that David made with Jonathan, the King poured out blessings on Mephibosheth and gave him authority and honor and was treated just as a King's kid. He felt very undeserving of this place of honor that was given to him. You can read the story here. It's a beautiful story of redemption and restoration. It's a picture of how God has given us a place of honor at His table through His Son Jesus. We are broken and we are bruised...damaged goods, and very undeserving. But God in His grace and kindness carried us to His table and made us one of His children. Watch this powerful video and listen to this song. Do it with a thankful heart for what Christ has done for you.

hey mike...I've entered back into the blogging world. Just thought I'd let you know, i've been checking yours out for a while. I also noticed the Jon and Kate plus 8 thing coming up. I have to say that Carly is quite jealous and envious, she LOVES that show.
Take care and enjoy AI.
