- I'm still fighting this crazy cold. It's turned into that annoying dry cough that comes every now and then without notice.
- This past week I had the privilege to go to a Pastor's retreat. It was a refreshing time away. We were also challenged to stay on mission.
- Yesterday was a great day! We kicked off our new series called "Heroes". We looked at the life of Elijah to see a picture of a hero. There is a hero in all of us. I pray that through this series, God ignites a "holy discontent" in many people and we begin to see heroes born.
- Yesterday we had two offerings. One was our regular offering, the second was to fund our "Turkey Fest '07". We want to provide a complete Thanksgiving meal to as many needy families in our community as possible. I was blown away when our offering counters told me that we collected $2,000! This was over and above our regular offering which was also great! Whoa God! I'm so excited to see what God does through this event!
- We had our first Newcomer luncheon yesterday after Church. Special thanks to our friends at New London Baptist Church for giving us their building for free to host this event. We had several new families join us to find out more about the journey and the vision of Elk Creek Church.
- I get so excited when I see others excited about serving and getting involved and "carrying the vision" of Elk Creek Church.
