3) Your Experiences
God never wastes a hurt. Maybe you've been through some pretty hurtful things in your life. Maybe you've been through some incredible experiences that you wouldn't change for the world. The scripture is full of examples of how God led people through experiences for a reason. I was reading this week about the life of Joseph. He was betrayed by his brothers and sold into slavery. He was as good as dead in the minds of his brothers. Through an incredible series of events over a period of several years, God used Joseph in ways that he never dreamed of. He saved thousands of lives through the gifting and experiences that God gave him. It appeared as though he was dealt a crappy deck. Nobody would've blamed him for being bitter about life, but he recognized God's plan through it all when he said to his brothers..."do not be distressed and do not be angry with yourselves for selling me here, because it was to save lives that God sent me ahead of you!" (Gen. 45:5)
When we merge our values, our gifts, and our experiences together that becomes our vision. Discover that sweet spot. Seek the heart of God for that...it's priceless...it's why you are here!

Good stuff Mike. It's funny that the things (like Joseph) that hurt the most...are often the start of the very best things in life. God is truly a "lemons to lemonade" God.
